Diamond Core Drilling is a cutting edge technology, that allows operators to form holes/ openings in some of the hardest and most robust materials including, concrete/ reinforced concrete, brickwork, and concrete blocks with any size and type of reinforcement being able to cut through it with ease. Allowing holes to be drilled to any depth and diameter.
Different methods of drilling can be applied such as “Stitch Drilling” where smaller diameter holes are drilled-in formation to form a line of holes that slightly overlap each other forming “Stitch”
this can be used to specifically and very accurately form openings in floor and walls including reinforced concrete also openings can be formed from the underside of the slab if the access above is restricted. Please see an example below of an opening we formed at the new IKEA in Hammersmith.

The makeup of these drill bits consists of diamond power being forged into steel segments and machine welded onto steel barrels. Diamond, being the hardest substance on earth, still maintains its heavy cutting power after the process. The diamond cores come in a variety of different diameters ranging from 8mm all the way up to 500mm plus, to suit any commercial or domestic needs.
It has no vibration, allowing operators to use the equipment all day, As there are low HAVs times associated with this method of drilling. Also, it has a very quiet noise output, great for jobs that have sound and vibration restrictions, such as Schools, Hospitals and care homes/ retirement living.
